The Story of Mister B
Mister B was founded in 1994 by the original Mister B himself: Wim Bos. With a deep-rooted background in retail and the gay scene, Wim set out to create more visibility and accessibility for fetish culture. His bold idea? A shop with large open windows on Amsterdam’s Warmoesstraat – letting the outside world peek in and celebrate what was happening inside. At the time, this was nothing short of revolutionary.
On 2 March 1994, the very first Mister B flagship Brand Store opened its doors in the heart of the Warmoesstraat – then the iconic leather street of the Dutch capital. This marked the beginning of a journey that would help shape the face of fetish retail across Europe and beyond.
We spread our wings further in 2000, opening our second Brand Store in Berlin, Germany. Just five years later, in 2005, we moved into a larger location on Motzstrasse to meet growing demand. Then came December 2014, when we launched our only franchise Brand Store in Antwerp – Belgium’s second-largest city and an undisputed fetish capital.
As our community grew, so did we. Mister B has since expanded into a number of exciting Concept Store partnerships across the globe, bringing the Mister B experience to even more corners of the fetish world. You’ll now find us in:

After 23 years at the helm, Wim Bos handed over the reins in July 2017. His successor? Long-time marketing manager and unapologetic fetish enthusiast Nelson Sousa da Cunha, who took ownership of Mister B with a passion to push the brand even further.
In 2018, we made another bold move – relocating our flagship Amsterdam Brand Store after 25 years. Now based at Prinsengracht 192, right alongside one of the city’s historic canals, our new home reflects a fresh and modern take on fetish retail, while staying true to our roots.
Since day one, Mister B has proudly supported the queer and fetish communities, both in Europe and worldwide. We remain committed to standing by those exploring their identity and sexuality – whether in open cities like Amsterdam and Berlin, or in places where being LGBTQ+ is still a struggle.
